Hello, lovelies! Hope you had a great weekend! I found this gem of a skirt in the midst of the crazy Zara sale and knew it would take me well into Spring/Summer. I only buy winter sale items when I know they can work for the next season or else it always ends up being a waste of money. This skirt had such gorgeous pleating that it almost feels sculptural. I’m really inspired by old sculptures that have draping and folds that feel so fluid that you could mistaken them for moving fabric. A good example would be the Raffaele Monti sculptures (seen in Pride & Prejudice when she visits Mr. Darcy’s estate). Anywho, I remove my nerd glasses to continue to explain my thoughts behind the outfit… The skirt is so feminine that I liked pairing it with rugged boots and a chunky belted sweater so it feels unexpected and appropriate for winter!

OH my gosh you are incredible! That skirt is beyond dreamy!
Stunning!
love your skirt!!!!
You look gorgeous! I have that same skirt and may need to replicate this outfit

I picked up a similar Theory skirt (it’s white). But I’m not finding it all that practical!! With a similar mindset of not buying winter sale items unless they transition into next season, we got a gorgeous BCBG sweater that’s light for layering, but still warm. Love this look!
Your photos are always so simple but so editorial. I adore them.

I love the juxtaposition of the feminine with the rugged! This is pure perfection, as are the backgrounds on your shots.

Hi Lindsey,
New on your blog which I really enjoy. I am happy to add it on my blog
This skirt you wear is absolutely phenomenal. And the non traditional way you paired it (sweater, belt, hat, boots) enhances it even more. It reminds me of some Dior fashion photos !
All the best
