I’m very honored to announce that I was chosen to be one of Rafe‘s 5 muses in a one-of-a-kind handbag collaboration to celebrate New York! We were given the task to sum up what New York means to us in one very short quote that would be immortalized onto a custom designed handbag. After living here on and off for almost 6 years, I had to filter through the ups and downs, goods and bads, pleasures and pains, to come up with the perfect phrase.
I met Rafe a while back and clicked instantly with his infectious enthusiasm and his ability to take the things he sees on his globe-trots and magically turn them into something tangible and beautiful. We see the world with the same excitement and are both constantly inspired by the art, architecture and cultures that we see on our travels. Oddly enough, the idea for this New York quote was created during a trip to Spain which really only seems fitting. Mine was the only one that was slightly dark but I’m pretty sure every single New Yorker, whether they admit it or not, can relate. But that’s what makes this city so damn amazing. You hate to love it and love to hate it. I’ll stop at nothing to leave but always come back and now I have custom bag with metallic tweed accents to remind me of what it’s all worth.

Love those bags!
