Another take on the maxi for winter.. Conventional rules always tell us to pair a high waisted maxi with something cropped but I actually like pairing long with long.  I love the way the skirt peeks out at the bottom and while the maxi usually tends to elongate my legs, this switch in proportion actually makes my torso look longer.  I definitely made sure to wear a sexy heel and belt my waist to keep it from looking frumpy!

I always love the backdrops on your shoots!! I agree, the instinct is to crop it up with a maxi but I think this looks great. I’ll bet the cinching on the trench helps? The leather and girly pleats make an excellent juxtaposition.

    7. Actually, this creates a totally different look where the skirt looks like it’s a dress. A bit of an illusion – very cool.

Such a cute look for winter!! I love the maxi skirt and the way you styled it for cold weather.

    10. I’d never have thought to pair a maxi skirt with a trench, but I really like the result (especially when it’s made of leather/chiffon!).

I absolutely adore the flowy nature to that skirt. I love that maxi. I have been wanting one for a while, then I saw this tulle one from an online boutique that is just adorable. Your maxi reminds me of that, and looks great on you, so it makes me want it even more :P xo
