It’s raining today so my last outfit post was shelved until next time I come down (we had SUCH a cute idea for a shoot, too. Rats!).  So here are a few Instagrams from this trip to give a little insight into what I’ve been up to down here and what I’ve been working with in my suitcase.  I go back to New York tomorrow and straight into a super busy week filled with tv shoots and fashion week!  I hear it’s warm at home so my fantasy of skipping winter and freezing temps may actually come true… We shall see.. In the meantime I’ll continue to come down to Nola between projects and get a head start on some more springy outfits!

We are having so much fun wandering around New Orleans finding new locations to shoot!  This is part of the warehouse district and I love the old advertisements on the buildings mixed with hip, cool new restaurants and lofts.  I also love this style hat and have been searching every TJ Maxx ever since I saw a similar one pulled for one of our shoots in LA.  Finally found one in the New Orleans store along with some cute Kate Spade jewelry!

I love that this sequin jacket has a slight bomber style to it and mixed with the hat shape, it almost feels a bit sporty, which I’m loving.  It is also so easy to transition from day to night.. I love sequins during the day almost more than I love wearing them at night because it’s so much more unexpected!

A few days ago, we took a ride out to the lake to play with Guinness and take some pics along the water to try to beat the dreary weather.  A few drops of color always brightens things right up for me.  I’m debating which direction I’ll go for spring, brights like this or soft pastels and neutrals.  I’m sure once I’m a little more tan all of the soft blush colors will look better against my skin so for now I’ll liven things up with some bright accessories.  I picked up a few cute things at the LA TJ Maxx locations.  This blazer has a beautiful subtle print to it but the camera didn’t pick it up unfortunately.  This instagram shows it off a little better:

Have a good weekend!
