On me: Blazer: American Eagle, Top: Zara, Necklace: Loft, Shorts: Cynthia Steffe, Shoes: H&M, Bag: c/o Coach

A few days ago I was invited to the Coach Bleecker store to celebrate the launch of their store Twitter account!  The store is super cute and in one of my favorite areas of New York City.  We got a tour of the Fall collections and snacked on mini cupcakes and bellinis (my 2 favorite things next to handbags).  We also got to pick out a bag to take home (squeal!) and I think I spent a good half hour trying to decide.  The big question was: Do I get what I need or what I want?

Well, I think I found a bag that has both (see above).. With a rich mahogany color, embossed leather, suede, and a doctor frame, this bag is a classic.  However, I had to exercise a lot of restraint to not get one of these:

Do you think I made the right choice?

Boy Meets Runway Girl!

Ok Glossie Posse, I’ve been waiting for soo long to be able to reveal some exciting Fashion Week news.. My Sex and the City dreams have finally come true… I will be walking in a runway show!  Stacy, the wonderful designer behind Boy Meets Girl, has asked me and the lovely Liz from Late Afternoon to walk in her Spring show during Fashion Week!

Sponsored by Starbucks Frappuccino, the Style 360 Caravan show featuring Boy Meets Girl (and yours truly) will take place on September 14th at 10:30am!

I envision it playing out like it did for Carrie: Being forced into jeweled panties while standing next to Heidi Klum a real model, then falling and being stepped on by Heidi Klum a real model, all while being photographed like fashion roadkill by the fashion photogs and being called ‘Fabulous’.

I’m really excited and really grateful, but also really nervous.. It’s one thing to put your picture out there or speak into a tv camera, but to be front and center with LOTS of eyes on you at that moment…that’s a whole different ball game.  I’m hoping my sports background will kick in and it will be just like playing in a championship game.  So to that I say: Bring it, runway.

There will be lots of updates coming (think video, interviews, pictures, etc etc) so stay tuned for more!

Pajama Games

Making the transition from summer to fall can be difficult especially when it is still 95 degrees outside.. I always fall back on (pun sort of intended) light fabrics with a splash of darker colors.  This is sort of a take on the  ”pajama” trend since the pants are silky and loose, but I tried to pull it all together with accessories and wedges.

So ironic.. while searching for the “pajama pant trend” I came across a picture of me on Refinery 29 in my other “pajama” pants.. Never knew they used my image!   So maybe I can use their inspiration images? Tit for tat.
