Jacket: Zara, Shoes: Zara, Bag: Tory Burch, Dress: Rebecca Taylor, Necklace: Anthropologie (similar), Sunnies: Miu Miu (slightly diff color) (similar cheap option)

A loose-fitting printed dress is always my favorite go-to when it gets hot, and to be honest, I probably didn’t even need this jacket on today.  That said, I love how the yellows work together and the jacket warms it all up, as does the rich, nutty brown tote.  This is my “I’m all business” business bag when I have meetings etc.  It fits everything, looks polished, and is such a classic.

Top: Zara, Pants: Banana Republic, Necklaces: Anthropologie (here, here), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Shoes: TJ Maxx, Bracelets: Anthropologie (here), LyraLoveStar, Rings: TJ Maxx

I managed to find the one hour that’s it’s not pouring down rain today!  I went on a huge jewelry binge this weekend both at TJ Maxx and Anthropologie.  I fell in love with these necklaces and thought they would be super expensive because most ethnic/bazaar inspired statement necklaces are usually so pricey that it would probably cost less to actually fly abroad and source them from the market yourself (which is a dream of mine to do one day).  My wallet was happy when I realized they are both under $75.

Here’s to some color on a dreary start to the week!  PS: these are the Mad Men pink pants and I found them on the sale rack this weekend for like $35 bucks!

SG & Mother’s Day

Tory Burch just did a lovely Mother’s Day series on her blog where she featured a dynamic group of mothers and daughters that included Susan Sarandon & Eva Amurri, Georgina Chapman and daughter India, and Dree & Mariel Hemingway, to name a few.  When they emailed asking if my Mom and I would like to take part, I was over the moon to be included especially because they wanted me to give a snippet about some of our favorite travel memories (I’m always traveling with something Tory in my suitcase) and my mom has been such a big influence in my life and blog (she has taken a lot of the blog pictures over the years!).  The feature actually went live on her birthday which was pretty special..  Click HERE to read the caption quote!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers reading!  Hope you all have an incredibly special day.
